Hong Kong Institute of Technology (HKIT) is a non-profit tertiary institute. As an international institute in tertiary education, HKIT is hitherto the first institution which offers accredited, full-time and part-time, overseas degrees which are both accredited in Hong Kong and internationally recognized. HKIT also offers the first overseas programmes which entitle students to Government Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students.

HKIT provides quality assured further study opportunities for those who want to study an internationally recognized programme in Hong Kong, including students having returned from overseas or students who are planning to study overseas. Over 3,000 students have obtained Associate Degrees/Australian Bachelor Degrees after successful completion of the programmes offered by HKIT in the past 20 years. Moreover, many graduates are admitted to the master degree programmes of famous universities in Hong Kong.

HKIT recognises qualifications from Hong Kong or overseas for admission to its programmes, and adopts a multi-entry and multi-exit approach to programme design. HKIT offers 100% articulation for its Associate Degree graduates to Bachelor Degrees.

Most of the programmes of HKIT including Associate Degrees and Bachelor Degrees are offered in both full-time and part-time modes, providing a variety of study opportunities to HKCEE/ A-level/mature students.
