Library Regulations
  • Student must produce student ID Card when borrowing library books. Student ID Card is not transferable.
  • Each student can borrow up to 2 books (different titles) for a loan period of 7 calendar days.
  • Maximum on-line renewal of the same book is 3 times provided that no one else has lodged a request for the item.
  • Part-time student is allowed to call the Library for borrowing books and collect the books in Cheung Sha Wan campus.
  • Book reservation can be made by on-line reserve. Student will be notified when the book is available. Part-time student is allowed to collect the reserve book in Cheung Sha Wan campus.
  • Late return of the borrowed books is subject to an overdue charge of HK$5.00 per book per calendar day. Non-payment of fine will be stopped from further borrowing.
  • All borrowed books shall be returned to Breezy Path campus Library. Part-time student is allowed to return the borrowed books to Cheung Sha Wan campus.
  • Student shall be responsible for any loss or damage of the library books loaned and shall be charged the cost of replacement plus any accumulated fine.
  • Video-recorded lectures and past examination papers are not to be made public but meant for student use at the Library only.
  • Student is not allowed to copy to disk or USB flash disk/drive any data from the hard disk of any computer in the Library as well as the video-recorded lectures. Past examination papers are forbidden to take photocopies.
  • Unauthorised removal of library property from the library premises and/or the mutilation of library books are disciplinary offences.
  • No student shall in the Library conduct himself/herself in a manner which, in the opinion of the Librarian or his representative, is not a proper use of the Library, or which interferes with the comfort or convenience of other students.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to attend to their personal belongings. The Library will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
  • Smoking, food, drink or articles that cause the risk of damages to library books and the use of mobile phones are not permitted in the Library (please select vibration mode if necessary). Silence must be strictly observed.
