This programme aims to provide students with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, preparing them with the knowledge and skill set needed for a successful career in the sector.
Students learn how to read and interpret accounting information. Moreover, they will explore how accounting can be developed to meet the needs of society and provide information to relevant decision makers.In addition, work-based learning is embedded into the programme, so that all graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet current and future market needs and be “work ready”. This includes a broad base of applications from case studies and problem solving.

# Pre-selected optional module for the Hong Kong course.
* Students of the Hong Kong course are required to select two out of the four optional modules.
Students are required to normally enrol and follow the modules in the programme until the completion of the award.
A student who has completed the programme and the modules nominated could enrol into CPA Australia as a CPA associate, and can then commence to complete the CPA programme.
The programme is also undergoing accreditation by ACCA for paper exemptions of its professional examination.

Students who are eligible for the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong (NMTSS) will be provided with an annual subsidy up to HK33,740 in the 2023/24 academic year. Eligible students enrolling in the relevant programmes only need to pay the tuition fee net of subsidy. For details, please visit www.cspe.edu.hk/nmtss.
From the 2023/24 academic year onwards, the annual subsidy for studies is applicable to all Hong Kong students who are enrolled in full-time locally accredited local and non-local self-financing undergraduate (including top-up degree) programmes offered by eligible institutions.
The following students are not eligible for the subsidy :
FASP provides means-tested financial assistance to needy full-time students pursuing locally-accredited, self-financing post-secondary education programmes at the level of associate degree, higher diploma or degree. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to needy students so that no eligible students will be denied access to post-secondary education because of lack of means.

To promote the development of the self-financing post-secondary sector, the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) is set up under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund to offer scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time locally-accredited self-financing sub-degree or bachelor's degree (including top-up degree) programmes at non-profit-making education institutions.
