Student Webmail
Email is the official communication channel in HKIT, which is provided by Microsoft Office 365. Staff and students can access their mailboxes via Webmail, Outlook App and/or Microsoft Outlook.

Student ID+@student.hkit.hk
Example:

Default Password
For Local Students (WITH Hong Kong ID)
The default password combination format is as follows:
The first two characters of your surname are in uppercase, and the first character of your HKID(Hong Kong Identity Card) is in lowercase, plus followed by six numbers.
Example:
- IF
- Last Name is: Chen
- HKID: A123456/7

For Non-local Students (WITHOUT Hong Kong ID)
The default password combination format is as follows:
The first two characters of the first name are in uppercase, and the first character of the surname is in lowercase, plus followed by the last 5 characters of the SID.
Example:
- IF
- FIRST name is: Tai Man
- Last name is: Chan
- SID: 12360001
